Contrary To popular opinion, allow kids to eat their vegetables can do more harm than good. Don’t deal with your children with benefits such as having a full size sugary dessert after eating veggies etc.. This is only going to heighten negative food associations where vegetables are requirements and desserts are enjoyable, tasty rewards. Children tend to attract these negative associations together towards maturity. Just encourage them to eat 1 bite. Do not stop trying. They may not like it immediately but that does not mean they are going to hate it eternally.
